Some of the collectible years of old Chevy trucks are late 60’s and early 70’s

We will start with my favorite year of old chevy, the ‘69 The available engine in 1969 is what is most memorable. This was the first year for the famous 350 V8 2002 was the last year the 350 cid was made in the US. It is still produced in Mexico. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. ‘69 was also the first year for the K-5 Blazer.

Next we look at the 1970 modelFrom 69 to 70 very little changed in the appearance of these vehicles. There is one small change that differentiates between the two and it is in the grille.

In 71, you will see a number of changes though they are still not in the body style. Instead, Chevy opted to increase trim options. Chrome trim and extra padding were added depending on options chosen. It is important to note that this was the year AM/FM radios were available installed on your new Chevy truck, and weren’t we all glad to finally have FM in the truck?

The 72′ model was also not altered very much. Other than changing the position of the rear view mirror and adding some wood grain to the interior of some of the models, Chevy did not alter the design much in the 1972 model year.
